The challenge
Lifted sells car lifts to homes and shops, stores collector cars in a secured facility, and inspects lifts for commercial clients. Most of that was running on a separate PHP application, away from the marketing site.
They wanted it all in WordPress, without losing any of the data, roles or permissions the team already relied on.
The solution
I split the work into four parts so each one could change without touching the others.
The theme is built from more than 20 ACF Pro blocks: lift models, storage plans, a reservation section, pricing tiers, galleries and so on. Staff put pages together in the block editor. Header, footer and modal content live in Theme Settings.
The Lifted Commerce & Services plugin is the back office: one dashboard for the store, residential leads and bookings, storage customers, commercial clients and job cost estimates. It also handles recurring billing through Accept.blue, e-signed contracts, and ALI lift inspections that end in a signed PDF report.
The Lifted Portal plugin gives storage customers a login to see their cars, intake reports, cameras, invoices and pull-out requests. Dealerships and shops get their own portal for service requests.
The last plugin holds the planning tools. In the Garage Designer, a visitor enters their garage size, drops in a 4-post lift and sees whether it fits, ceiling clearance included. They can save the plan and share it with a link.
Results
- The marketing site and the daily operations now sit in one WordPress install
- Staff get a single dashboard with roles, permissions and an activity log
- Customers handle cars, invoices and pull-outs themselves through the portal
- Visitors can plan a garage layout before they ever call
